Are Dominiques similar to barred rocks for temperament?

I want one that will jump and sit on my lap. They have all done it at least once (minus Carl.. Something is wrong with his coordination XD)

The Doms are very similar to BR's in color and shape. I think the colors on the Doms look a little crisper, but that's just me. All three of my Doms were loves from the start and easily learned to jump up on my arm and thigh when I patted them.
