Getting a buddy for my quail

I've had good luck with 1:1 male:female pairs. It's when you stray from that that problems develop. Definitely only one male per cage, then it's either 1 hen, or as many hens as you can gather.

I think I will give a second male a try since there are no females around. If that doesn’t work out I may try a female or females

Update: I have gotten Quincy a male buddy 5 days ago, they are getting along great and are snuggle buddies! Quintin (the new guy) is about 6-7 weeks old, Quincy is around 7-8 months. Mission buddy: accomplished
