I say put all the ones from your property and anyone else's in a cloth bag and drop it off at her house. Tell her you took her seriously and that you now will be bringing all your snakes to her since they will have a safe haven at her house.

I finally caught the rat and as I was carrying him by the tail back to the car. I noticed the crowd with puzzled looks. So just before getting in the car I said "Whewww that was close, I thought I wasn't going to be able to eat tonight"....................

Very funny!

No. I disagree. It was unnecessarily cruel. Not funny. No.

You can eat meat, or not. You can feed meat to your pets, or not. Either way, you can still care about animal welfare. And of course you should care about the human condition world-wide.

You can butcher & process animals for food. You can dispatch animals that are pests & predators to your household.

But you must be humane. Not cruel. Not causing unnecessary pain or harm. Not indiscriminately. With wisdom & knowledge & awareness.

Certainly not rolling with laughter afterwards.

Snakes are solid muscle. They can be run over by cars and be unphazed. Im sure that the snake was not hurt in anyway while soaring through the air or landing on the ground.

Ummm, again, no. I disagree. This was unnecessarily cruel. And certainly not an event to describe as hilarious or awesome.

Snakes also have bones and soft organs. You cannot guarantee that such mishandling would have no harmful affect on an animal. There was no need to treat a living creature in such a way, especially one that would probably have crawled away on its own. Usually all you have to do is stomp your feet and most wild small animals will flee.

Snakes don't have bones, they have cartilage (like your nose and ears) just like sharks. That's what enables them to swallow things larger than them and digest them, and what lets them wiggle so much.

Yes snakes have bones, ribs the lenght of the body.spine , backbone. They can dislocate their jaw bones to eat. Sure would be easy to break a rib throwing one that far.

The point isnt if the snake was actually hurt or not..the point is the cruelty in the act. And thinking its funny to do that to a LIVING animal. Thats the point.

but then how the heck do they stretch their bellies out so far when they swallow something huge? I'm sure they have a lot of cartilage, but they can have both I guess...
