What does everyone think of pine pellets for bedding in the coop? Some people add water to make them soft, I have heard they are very absorbent, and maybe that would help with wet duck poop...

We simply use shavings and straw and the deep litter method. Our duckhouse is 4'x8', and we put down two bags of shavings and then a nice layer of straw. We then spot clean 2x/day and add new straw every few days as needed. We clean-out and start over usually once a year.What does everyone think of pine pellets for bedding in the coop?
