Getting farm chores done when you have a baby - any tips?

I too vote for baby wearing and utilizing nap times. I used the Ergo baby carrier and my 2 year old still fits in it. It was a little pricey but well worth the money. I tried a sling style carrier from Target, but my DD looked so uncomfortable in it and it was not comfortable for my back. The ergo really feels comfortable, although the baby isn't too sold with a lot of bending over or standing still...gotta keep moving to keep her happy.

Good luck and just like my dad says, a little crying is just fine for them. Remember that you need time for yourself too!

When my son was a baby I would do things outside while he was asleep in his crib and then carry the baby moniter with me. One day he fell asleep and so I took the moniter and outside I went. He never made a pip or peep and so I thought it was strange that I got all my work done and he was still asleep so I went to check on him. He had totally tore the end of the crib off, climbed out and was sitting in the middle of his room with all his toys. How on earth I never heard that is still to this day beyond me. Needless to say he got a big boy bed after that, lol.

check into parenting skills
it isn't they revolted, it is they probably weren't taught what was required for the family to function

not judging you---but kids can be handled and many do have kids that are participants in the family and make the family a better unit

hey in general kids are a crapshoot and are a product of their environment

kids in the olden days weren't slaves, parents want to mate, breed, have kids, etc. it is natural to all living things on this earth. key being, after born kids must handle their share of the work to survive. nothing wrong with that, good character is built that I can appreciate, good skills are learned.
