Getting Goat kids

You see the goats in my profile picture? Momma and the little black and white dude faint.. the other will not nor can he.. and both are from her... same buck as father ... figure that one out..lol..genetics are funny... And the little fainter will not jump onto anything anymore.. he scares himself stiff..lol

All in all.. they are easy to raise.. just watch copper intake.. and make sure you get yours from a closed herd.We lost 3 due to Barberpole worms.( we got lied to when we bought these goats) so , that was hard to deal with.
Goats have become very resistant to dewormers. So we opt not to do that anymore. And it has worked out great for us.We had more problems with deworming and scours and other stuff when we where doing that.
..Ours are healthy ,wormload is minimal and the eyelids are super pink.
Oh thanks for replying. My Doe and wether don't faint either..👍
Your goats are adorable!

@toredano ..you don’t deworm at all? Do you run fecal floats to check them? How many goats in your herd? We have a closed herd now, too. But, we are going to use a buck from a different farm for breeding this year...however..they all will have every single test run before we even think of taking my goats near their place!! We had two buckling this year, we could have used one to breed with three does, but 5heyboth are turnin* out to be too big. We weathered one to keep, and are sellin* th3 other...breaking my heart. Just can’t keep them all? Is at least what I’m told...ugh

My friend doesn't worm them either unless needed or once a year.
