I'm guessing with all the knowledge people on here have that someone has done this before.

We were given a sofa and loveseat that are leather (light tan). They were given to us because DD of the previous owners wrote ALL over them with magic marker and some ink pen. So, it's the ink/marker has been 'setting' on these for a few months.

Does anyone know of anything that will remove it without ruining the leather?

there are commercial leather cleaners that work wonders. also, windex WITHOUT ammonia for spot cleaning quickly. i have used hairspray to get ink off too.

not guaranteeing the outcome on your furniture though!

Ok you might think I am crazy but if it is a sharpie marker the try this, Its sure to work,,,,, take a rag and get ciggarett ashes, the smelly ashtray works well, dip your rag in just a bit of water and then ash it up, take your ashy rag and softly scrub your marker mark, it should go away, good luck i hope it works.
