Getting my (pheasant) Chicks 1 hr 30 mins away!....

Well, you will soon find out as you will need them. Look on any good poultry supplier site under bits and blinders for pheasants. If you don't do it, depending on your breed, they will kill each other as they grow up.

ok only the roosters or the hens? will they kill each other when they are chicks? (beside pecking and cannabalism) but do they need blinders

It depends on the breed, but yes, they can kill each other as young birds. If it is ringnecks, you will need to bit them. Only the most aggressive birds like Mutant Greens need to be blinded. You will need to do this to all of them, hens and roosters. You bit them with the smaller size when they are young, and change it to a bigger size as they grow up. Just ask the person you are getting them from what they have to do to keep them.

should this be moved to other birds, poultry, or fowl? I wonder if the people at the hatchery will have them what do they look like?

I saw a picture. will that keep them from eating? do I have to screw it in to its beak?

o my how expensive. they will manage. If i do find a cnnibal i will section off a little cage for the little "peckers" BTW thank you sooooo much for this info!

Yes, BTW, you can reuse the bits I linked to you. I can tell you that you won't be able to avoid this unless you have super large pens, and only a very few birds. Trust me, it is worth the investment if you want to keep the peace. That is why I raise goldens, and chuckars, they don't need bitted.
