So, as the title states, how on earth do you get pee out of a pillowtop mattress? It's somewhat set-in, and I used my little green shampooer, which got some out, but it still has a yellow tinge. Any advice? This is a brand new mattress and I'd like to not have it messed up already...

So, finally, I was catching some z's, oldest son was playing in the living room, youngest was doing what he does best (sleeping, lol), hubby was in the living room playing games and watching Grem. I roll over and end up in a patch of *something* wet. I wake up, my clothes are wet, I knew I didn't pee the bed (lol). I look around, Grem is in his crib sleeping, living room light is out, and hubby isn't in bed. Turns out, he's on the couch, sleeping, so he KNEW about the mess in the bed. I smell it, thinking that he was feeding the youngest on the bed and ended up dumping milk on the bed and trying to clean it up with a wet wash cloth, but, no, smells like full fledged pee, and I knew it was from either him (lol) or Grem from the smell of it. Here, he changed Grem's diaper, somehow missed the "red flag" of an erect, well, "flag" and Grem peed all over the bed while the diaper was off, and instead of hubby waking me up or trying to clean it up, he left it there and put Grem to bed and went to sleep on the couch! Like, come on, there's lazy, but then there's just downright freaking RUDE and LAZY as crap. Anyone want a second husband?!

heck no, mine is even worse. He dont change diapers at all. He will ask our seven year old daughter to do it when he has the kids with him or find another unsuspecting female tht feels sorry for him or Sam.
TRy a cleaner that contains enzymes to remove the stains or maybe oxyclean.

Ohh, I didn't even think about oxyclean... That should have been obvious, that stuff works like a miracle.

As far as the husband, he's blaming the cat. Says that he didn't change a diaper on Grem. Would make sense, considering that he usually doesn't change diapers unless I nag him because I'm busy helping the other kiddo or changing someone else's diaper.

BUT, Grem's diaper was crispy clean, and I had been sleeping for about two hours... Plus, it smelled like "adult" human pee, not cat pee or newborn baby pee.

I have heard white vinegar does the trick and also taking the matress outside in nice weather of course(no rain) and after scrubbing, let it air dry....then lysol it(spray directly on) and then febreeze it...

When attempting to housetrain our last puppy I used baking powder on the carpet where our Boston Terrier (aka "The Boston Terror"!) had peed. It helped to soak up the pee and then I vacuumed it up. Not totally sure if it would help you in your situation though.

I like M@M@2four's suggestions as well.
