Getting pigeons to hatch quail eggs?

I've heard of people getting their pigeons to hatch quail eggs and I wanted to try.
I'm planning on ordering quail eggs soon to put under the pigeons but the problem is that they already have their own eggs incubating at the moment. So I'm wondering if they'll still hatch the quail eggs if their squabs hatch earlier? I'm not sure how earlier at the most it'd probably be a week apart. Would they mind having eggs under them for a little longer?

they will not incubate the quail eggs long enough if they already have eggs in the nest they are currently sitting on.

Also the poop from the pigeon squabs will smother the quail eggs and also stop them hatching.
