Getting some new birds - couple of questions

Sounds like a good plan. I envy you the Dels, I'd like to get some but I need to build another coop and pen first--wouldn't want them to freerange with my barnyard flock.

why wouldn't you allow some dels to roam around with your barnyard flock? these will be integrated with my existing flock once the quarantine period is over, and the older birds in my existing flock will tolerate new arrivals.

Lots of hawks and coyotes around here. It wasn't as much of a worry when I was home and the dogs were outside more, but now that I'm back to work and can't keep as close of an eye on things I'd worry that the mostly white birds would be too much of a target.
