Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Ha! The Belgian connection cracks me up! My mom is from there so two of her cousins and their families came to my wedding. They are from the Walloon side but the half Flemish, half Welsh caterer I used was really excited to be able to speak Flemish with them. My wedding day is notable less for the money spent and more for the excitement: Swarm of flying ants, an ambulance, a power outage, and of course lost luggage on the honeymoon!

Thank you Phage for the eggs - again

Mrs Oz is getting ready to head back

We have lots going on in our real world so I am on and off BYC.

I will be here as often as I can.

The 3 week weigh in of our piglets have been fruitful. The junior boar is a monster.

Chickens are hatching. We are selling plenty too. The guys have done two shipments without us. Customers are happy so its working OK.

Cheers to all

The good wife is back on Filipino soil.

My life has been crazy to say the least.

Just a few things that have happened in the last three weeks

The day Mrs Oz was to arrive, my car was stolen. I reported it to the police who said that the recovery rate is 87%. I was quite surprised with that statistic. Just as I figured mine was one of the non-recovered, I received a call from garden grove police. It cost 400 to get the car out of the compound yesterday but it's in good condition. The thieves kept it immaculate - even put in a double USB phones charger and airfresheners.

The ditched my license plates so I have to go and get new ones from the DMV but overall I got out of it not too scathed.

I also had somebody compromise my check account. They used the number to pay a Nordstrom account of $4500. Probably another stolen identity account. They cleaned me out but the bank allowed me to file a claim and reversed charges.

Its been a crazy few weeks

What a PIA. Just when you think things are under control, life throws a monkey wrench at you. Good thing we just keep moving along no mater what.

Glad Mrs. Oz made it home safe, and wish you much success on hatching the new CA eggs.

Oz if you dont want to brave the DMV those Registration Kiosks can Do it all for you in about a half hour. From transfering the registration to issuing you new Plates and tags.... We got it all done at a local car wash for about forty bucks.... we were amazed.

Nice part about using a kiosk is they oftentimes are open after hourse and or on weekends.

Dang about the checking account.... glad you got the banks cooperation...

Been there done it...

Oz, glad you got it figured out. The trouble you have to go through to sort everything out is the most annoying part.

Getting your car stolen reminds me of a story an old colleague of mine told. Her car got stolen, and after a few days, she got a call from the cops to come and get it, as they had located it. They warned her that she was in for a shock though; the thieves had left a horrible mess in the car. When she went to pick it up, the inside was just as she had left it

LOL!

Sorry to hear that Oz.
When I had my car stolen it was found 3 days later abandoned with a burnt out clutch, and on the dash were the tiny footprints of the 11 year olds who had stolen it.

we had the same thing.... last year car stolen it was gone a week.... Just long enough to run it out of gas... Though everything loose was gone there were no rips or tears or damage.... thought there were greasy handprints every wheree as well as used baby diapers and evidence of children.... a big bag of candy and all his Car thief tools.

Oh and the trunk was full of fire wood and a very very stout hand truck... spare tire was gone though....
