I am doing my egg runs on Monday Aug 26 and Tuesday 27 - Fly out Wed Aug 28

I will be at my chicken ranch on Friday afternoon in time for my son's Second Birthday Party.

Sat morning we set eggs. Then its time to sort chickens.

I am going to move all the adult chooks into the new coops and use the other side of the big duplex coop as a grow out.

I am vaccinating for fowl pox and Newcastle Disease while I am there. We cannot eat eggs for 3 weeks after that so the young chickens will get lots of hard boiled protein.

I was supposed to leave the island Monday and fly back from Manila Tuesday but the flight will be $450 more than on the following day so I am staying an extra day

I also have no pures to send this trip I had to let everyone loose in the two big pens to make it easier for the caretakers while I was on vacation..... in the process of assessing and organizing..

I think we have around 30 local-egg-laid chicks in the brooder.

Photos being taken as we speak.

One of the quail laid an egg today. Propagation will commence in a week.

Mrs Oz picked up 100yds of 8ft wide polyprop netting today for $65. I will use it to make a nice area for the girls to get out and semi-free range and help keep the feed bill down.

Free range is taking over

almost 7 million dozen eggs were sold in Great Britain in Q2 of 2013. 47% were free range.

I am sure your customer thinks I am as crazy as all the Filipina nurses I work with.

I have sales reps who want me to have dinner with their regional managers to amuse them.

Oh well, atleast I dont have conversations with my self.............. aloud anyway
