Once upon a time I had major abdo surgery. 3 days later I was on a plane to Australia. This is not recommended.

Following an laparoscopic appy surgery, she probably will be fine going to class on Friday. It will tire her out but wont hurt if she is just sitting.

Fortunately a law was enacted to stop discharging c-sections in cali at 24 hrs. They get 3 days now. That practice was barbaric.

They discharged you at 24 hours after a C??? YOUCH!!! All four of mine were C's (something to do with only being 4'11" and not quite "wide enough" I guess). I spent four days with the first two and three days with the second two.

Because my crew all came within a few months of each other (11 months from first kid to second kid, then 16 months, then 13 months)...sitting around and resting wasn't really an option. Hubby took a week off of work each time, but still.

With the last little guy, I had a 3 1/2 yr old, a 2 1/2 yr old, and a 13 month old. There was no such thing as resting, lol. I paid dearly for it, too. Within a few weeks, I found myself back at the hospital doubled over in pain because I had slightly opened the internal incision. Honestly, I'm pretty sure THAT pain was the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life.

Anyways, I couldn't imagine having to be sent home within 24 hours of the surgery. Yikes.

Oz, what are the risks of pig farming? Aside from...they stink. Bad.

Don't y'all start now with the scary child birthing stuff. We've got one on the way. Already had one, it was easy enough... not a walk in the park, but easy enough.

I love pigs. I used to be obsessed with them as a teen. I actually asked my mom for a pig every time Christmas or my birthday came around. There was a lady in town who had two potbellies, leash trained and everything.... I never got the pig. I love the bigguns as much as the little ones. They're really smart and pretty affectionate. And tasty..

I love pigs too. I love the way they talk to you when you do stuff for them or you give them a skritch behind the ear....
