for a Halloween baby for Piglett. (if she hasn't popped already)

thanks Dave. Keep the articles coming

Our litter costs are zero as we get rice hulls for free. I have them changed monthly and they go into the compost pile.

On their own rice hulls are very slow to breakdown buy in a hot compost environment, along with pig poop and sawdust, The can be ready to ammend a garden in 6 weeks.

That would be fun. Can you imagine trick or treating for your birthday every year? Best party ever!

Edit: Wouldn't Nov 2nd figure? Match Oz' birthday

Halloween was not celebrated in Oz when I grew up so I have never paired my Birthday with dress up day.

I reckon mrs P has her baby already. They would have induced by now.

I don't know, Oz, some doctors will let a delivery wait as long as there is no sign of stress in the baby. The women in my family cook their babies longer than most others. I was induced or had a csect on all three of my boys. My mom delivered all three of my siblings two weeks late and was induced a week late with me. Piglett and wife may still be waiting!

Shoot, I was induced both times, 1 day past 40 weeks. I would have waited... but the doctors weren't really into that idea.

I check every day to see if Piglett has his little one haha. I think we're all very excited.

I was 35 when I had my first. I also had toxemia. I went in for a routine appointment near my due date and my protein levels had risen slightly. That was the thing that started my doctor talking about inducing. He said we would check them again in a week. On the next appointment, it had shot up to dangerous levels. I went straight to the hospital and they started the drip at 5am and although I was in full strength contractions, I did not progress. At 11pm, the doc said, "How do you feel about a C-section?" My reply was something to the effect of whatever he thought was best, and they stepped off the breaks on my hospital bed and wheeled me to the OR. At 11:10pm I had a son. After that, they were optional for the other two and it was very convenient to be able to schedule when the baby would be here. I had three sections, in all.
