Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

he is a handsome lad. just a tad small. i might try him over some of my imports to see what happens
he may not be UP to the job if the hens are too large
but out of all the ones you have i'm sure you can find him a few ladys

I borrowed a incubator from the local 4H and set some eggs on Saturday night, so fingers crossed this hatch goes better and I can start the chicken journey too!

welcome to the forum
warning once you start it's tough to stop
next you will be looking for more breeds
when you go to the store you will be thinking
"oh wow i bet my chickens would like eating that there"
when i see a lawn that has gotten tall i always think
"if only i could bring my flock over here they would shorten that grass up in no time flat"

And then I find myself ordering 5000 meal worms to start a farm, cause I love to watch em play chicken rugby.

After seeing the awesome coops Oz and others have made on this site, I am now borrowing a friends pickup on a regular basis to go scrounge pallets and other materials for the future coop project, (40 pallets and 2 shipping crates so far. Picking up some walk-in Refer panels today.
