Please enjoy taking the mickey out of me with my auto correct. I can take the mockery.

As far as Muscovy go piglet, they are great broodies and can easily cover 15 eggs. You may be better off letting them build up a few eggs in the coup and letting one sit on them.

My friend the duck man started with a dozen birds and has over 300 a year later without an incubator. They tend to lay in a pile and once the pile is big enough a duck will sit.

Hatching eggs that take 35 days is tough. Especially if you are set up for chickens. Its best to use a separate incubator and do the cooling and misting routine.

Good luck.
i got out the scale & weighed them but my scale only goes to grams

i need fractions of a gram to get exact

i'll see how it goes but your correct

next year i'll let the ducks do their own hatching

too much BS without any good results

but for some reason my hens can hatch out a muscovy egg as long as i mist them other day

looks like i have a dozen dead eggs in the hatcher

3 more weeks worth still in the bator cabinet

i'll see if i get any

i at least want a dozen for the freezer this fall

so i hope i get a few for all my trouble

There are some cheap scales on amazon for under 10 bucks. It could be worth it.

This is the model I use.

i paid $25 at the walmart for mine

great price

but............

do i really need one if i'm going to let my ducks/ broody hens do the muscovy egg brooding?

i'm sure if i put enough time in i could get these eggs to hatch out

but what is the point?

the ducks do little or nothing all day anyhow

why not put em to work sitting
