sort chickens - I am selling a doz birds on my way back to USA on Tuesday

build a concrete enclosure for our back up water supply's ball and swing valves as they are unprotected from the sun and will become brittle.

tidy up the garage

vaccinate and weigh piglets

tidy up the electrical panel

and I am sure we will find a few more things to add

This little item on your of sh=t to do list could take a lot of time, how tidy do you want it and is it dead or 'live'

its a 20 minute job. I just have to cable tie a few wires, label some circuit breakers and put the cover on.

the guy who did the initial electrical work over built it but not in a good way. he put breakers I'm that are oversized for their circuits. A 40 amp is too much for a circuit for lights only with #12 wire. the circuit breaker supposed to trip before the wire melts lol

at 2 weeks they 4.2kg target is 4kg
the 3 that are 10 days old are 4.1kg

chickens sorted√
we have now a solid number of 12 week RIR pullets and roos. in three months we will have a good breeding number and be able to sell 2-3 dozen chicks a week.
My barred rocks are also finally increasing in numbers. After Dominic was down to 2 layers but now have 12 more 16 week olds with more in the brooders.

things are moving in the right direction.

And doesn't a RIR roo over a BR hen make sex linked chicks ?

it will create a black sex linked bird. As with cuckoo Marans and RIR.

I need a red sex link as well.

there is a thing about brown egg layers that are brown as some people think black birds don't do as well

I also want to use both types of sex links in my recipe for a hybrid project
