All right, good grief. I fell for it, too. Sheesh!!

But I am absolutely not hatching right now! I am positively convinced Fall will be here any minute! I am sure of it! The temperature is going to drop, and it will be cold and wet and rainy and not at all good for baby chicks....

So why am I building this giant brooder in the barn. Hmm....

Well, since I have this very nice brooder here, it would be a shame not to test it out....

NO! I have put the incubator away. It is cleaned and stored for winter. Argh!!

Who would have thought it would be so hard to NOT hatch eggs.

Well.... maybe just a couple....

But remember to visit the Say NO to Naked Necks website at www.SNONN.net and join the movement.
Ha ha-- there IS no such thing..... I just looked!

He got you too? I wasn't going to admit it.

All right, good grief. I fell for it, too. Sheesh!!

You guys really must learn to lighten up.

I need to get some better pics but they are a little camera shy. Very sweet though. And they are bantams. About the size of the silkie roos.

Good luck with your struggle.

Marie

They do have a bit of fluff, but nothing as fancy as silkies. And they have a bit more body substance to them. These are bantams and so they are not bigger than the silkies but about the size of the silkie roos. But they do feel more solid than most of my silkies. I just love them. They are great layers too. Every day layers. And the eggs are small but not as small as like the OEGB's. And very tasty.

Marie

Jaynie, you have done more than create a faverolle lover. You have helped me so much and your the greatest. I trust you completely and I appreciate you so much. Every time I sit out there and watch the chickies or feed them or hear them crow, I think of you. And I have no face to put your name to, so I guess I need to name one of my chickens Jaynie??

Marie

PS: her is a pic of my pullets first 2 eggs next to a large egg. She has been laying for 3 weeks and has missed one day.
