Greetings All!
Wanted to offer a piece of advice to anyone who is "haunted." In a calm, normal voice tell your house, each and every room.... "if you are here in peace, you may stay, if you are not, you must leave." If your ghost continues to give you difficulties, say to them... "In the Name of the Father, Jesus Christ his Son, and the Power of the Holy Ghost, I COMMAND you back to Hell where you belong!" And MEAN it! Any "spirit" that is "lost" will usually leave after the first warning. If you're not a Christian, call on your Deity of Choice to remove this being from your home.
IF this doesn't work, PM me and I'll give you further steps to take to safeguard your family and home.
I'm no "Ghost Whisperer"by any means, but I started seeing ghosts when I was about 5 or 6. I thought everyone could. You mean you CAN'T SEE that Lady standing in the hall? It was no big deal to me. I never understood why all the adults were "freakin-out"over it all.
We lived in a track-house (you know, those cookie-cutter houses all alike in newer subdivisions?) about an hour from Los Angeles. I'd see these strangers walking around our house. None of them ever scared me, or tried to hurt me, or even stayed very long. The last ghost I saw there, I was 12 years old, and jumped out of bed screaming! I swore that my bed was on fire, the house was on fire, the neighborhood was on fire, the whole world was on fire! Apparently, whoever it was had died as a child in a fire. Didn't like THAT one. I could SEE the flames, FEEL the heat, SMELL the smoke, even after I was fully awake. It took my parents the rest of the night to get me calmed down enough to stop shaking and crying. I KNEW it was real, and was happening to me! Had that happen three times over the next year. Still can close my eyes and see it again, over 35 years later.
Not long before my father passed away, he was in CCU after a massive heart attack. One morning, my mother was there with him, he raised up in the bed, stretched out his hands toward the foot of the bed, and started crying... His mother was there. She told him that it was not yet his time, that there was nothing to be afraid of, as she was waiting for him, and he'd be with her soon enough. My mother could smell her perfume, and saw a haze at the foot of the bed, and KNEW SOMETHING was happening. It took him several weeks to finally tell my mother what had happened. Now, my dad didn't believe in ghosts, was a "bible-thumping Baptist" with a fear of hell. After he saw her, he was at peace with his fate, knew he was dying sooner than later, and made his peace and said his fair-thee-wells to all the people who mattered to him.
When I was in my early 20's I had a vision of my ex-husband just as I was getting ready for bed. He said he had come to say "Remember! I told you I wouldn't live to see my 40th birthday! good-bye, and that he would "take care of" our daughter. Three weeks later, I got a letter from his mother telling me that he had died the day I had seen him, in an accident. That was 3 weeks before his 40th birthday. Every now and then, I would smell his aftershave (which no one else wore), and almost immediately, my daughter would tell me that "HE's here again." We would move from one place to another, and so would he. I was awakened one night, and he was cussing and mumbling, fit to be tied. I later found out that another of his children had been placed permanently in foster-care, and his family wouldn't even try to give that child a home. Sad, really.
We bought a house in the town where we live now.... got moved in and unpacked.... started having the faucets turn themselves on, could smell brownies baking, the fridge door would be wide open, lights going on and off, things moving, etc.... all in the middle of the night and everyone asleep in bed. Later started seeing this older gentleman around the house. We'd just catch a glimpse of him out of the corner of our eyes. Everyone saw him, not just me. Finally, I hollered at the ghost that "unless he was going to start paying the utilities, to stop playing with the fridge!" He stopped!
It turned out that our ghost matched the description of the man who had built the house 70 years before. He didn't pass away in the house, but had lived there his entire married life. His wife eventually needed to be in a nursing home, and her family sold the house, and we bought it. When his wife passed away several years later, we stopped seeing him or having things happen. He never bothered anyone, or even interacted with any of us. I just think he was waiting for her before he moved on.
I've regularly seen, heard, felt, been touched by, several friends and family members who have passed-on. It's a comfort to KNOW, to have PROOF, that our existance continues after the body has died.
Ghosts are real, and, usually harmless.
