Ghost stories!.

someday i might record. Although it'll be hard as it is quite sudden. The coyotes last the longest so that part would be easier to record.

OK, well, I'm sure we have a ghost. And he's been around so long we've quit worrying about him. On too many occasions to count, I have heard him walking around our kitchen in the early morning. He has workboots on which make a lot of noise. I have gotten up lots of times and gone out there to find everyone still in bed or already gone for the day, and no one n the kitchen. A few times I have been up, in an adjoining room, and heard him, and other family members have, also. One night I was sitting at the dining room table writing something while my daughter was in the adjoining kitchen washing dishes ( I could see and hear her). I felt someone standing behind me and turned around to find nothing, just as I heard and saw the bouquet of flowers on the table swish as if something had brushed it. My daughter was still doing dishes. I know it was not a prank as the noise of dish doing never stopped, indicating she'd remained at the sink. My daughter actually was watching tv one afternoon and saw him walking outside the basement door, up the steps, and carrying a cat. She thought it was her brother, but he was at work. We live in the c ountry, we know it was no one else, there was no one else around. All of our kids have seen him walk by in the basement hall outside our office. It is always the same individual, a young man. If we start talking about him a lot over a period of time, he will dissapear for a while. We figure he must be friendly, so our attitude is, he is welcome here, as long as he minds his own business.

My step-mom(who I loved dearly) passed away 3 1/2 yrs ago from complications from diabetes. The other night I had a dream she was holding my hand, the first few seconds as I was waking up I could still feel her hand in mine. As a matter of fact if I stop for a minute and relax I can still feel her hand in mine.
Yesterday the Dr's office called and told me I have early onset diabetes. I know she's just trying to tell me it will be ok.
I know she'll be here to lend me strength as I work to get my weight down and beat this.

Ok thanks alot guys!!! I SHOULD be doing laundry but i couldn't tear myself away from this thread!!!!

There are many stories that i was raised hearing by my mom and her siblings. Seems they had many encounters with spirits. My Grandmother was into the board and would try to communicate with those that passed.

One story that always fascinated me was.....They had a dog and the dog was always running through the house. One day in front of them all it ran across the living room floor. Yipped really load and acted as it had been kicked in the butt. It was lifted a good foot off the ground my mom said. The dog would NEVER go through the middle of the room. It always would go slowly around the outside of it.

They had an upstairs bedroom and they could all hear footsteps coming up the stairs and walking across the room. They always thought it was the oldest brother but Grandma would tell them he wasn't home from work.

One thing that i still remember to this day......I was laying in bed one night when i was about 10 years old. I saw something at my window and then i felt a hand grab my leg. I pulled my leg up and i felt the grasp hold on and slip down my calf and off of my foot. I jumped out of bed and told my brother's wife but she thought i was dreaming. I honestly don't think i was.

My mom passed away over four years ago. I was there when she died. Everything had been working fine in her house but when she passed away lights would not turn on and the dryer broke. I had gone in to turn my bedroom light on (she died with us in her home) and it would not turn on. A few minutes later my sil went in and it turned right back on. I told her that is strange......i tried it again and it wouldn't turn on.....it would for her but not for me. I think that was a way of my mom letting us know she was still there with us.

We just built on our property three years ago. It was an orchard. I do think there are some spirits here. When my boys were younger and we used a baby monitor that thing would be going crazy...however the house was perfectly silent. I ended up just giving it away because it freaked me out. I tend to see things out of the corner of my eye alot. Then when i look nothing is there. Things get moved and etc.....I don't mind as long as they are friendly.

Those are just a few of my stories.

Are you sure it's not a fishercat? Someone just posted that sound on this board and that would make me think of a ghost crying in the woods. Not saying that it's not the old lady......it probably is....but those fishercats sound horrible.

Well, this may not be paranormal either but today has had its "spoofs"- im lying in bed this morning about 5am and i hear a THUMP, and glass break.. I lay there a few more minutes and get up to go see what happened.. as i enter the livingroom (maybe 5-6 feet away), i look down to my right and see our glass ash tray, un harmed though... just not where it should be. and continue looking... i then look under the table by my fathers chair and see a piece of glass and as i glance up and look at the wall... the picture which had been hanging there for a LONG time. had fallen and jumped about 1 and a half-2 feet over my dads chair, and hit the table just enough to break... i bypass it and say "just one of those things" and go back to bed. while sitting here earlier i hear a phone ring. quiet.. but i hear it, and not a ring i know. 3 times. get up to listen better and it stops. later i THINK i hear a distinct talking. to where i then decide its time to go outside and take care of the chickens.. i go out and come in 30 minutes to a hour later and as i walk into my kitchen, there sits a metal bowl on the counter which has been sitting there for at least 2 nights (my dad sat it there), and i begin to heat me up some lunch, i begin walking away and then hear this loud crash, turn around... and there sits the bowl on the floor right behind me.
