Nicole woke with a start. She was still high in the tree, and she was glad she didn't toss and turn in her sleep. There was a beautiful full moon that night, and it shed light in the sky around it. She shoved her book in her backpack and hurriedly climbed down the tree. In her haste she missed a branch and fell several feet to the forest floor. Like an idiot, she tried to land on her feet, causing much more pain than necessary. She cursed herself and started limping toward the city. ((Is it HER city???))

Natalie slowly placed her hand on the little girls forehead. It had been a long time since she had felt a human. The warmth of the body, the sound of their beating hearts. She walked over to a standing mirror in the room and stared at it. She wasn't visible in the mirror. All of a sudden, she saw lights turn on from downstairs and a door close. With nothing to fear she floated through the floorboards and into the kitchen where a boy was getting a drink of water from the fridge. She stood behind him and watched. He turned around and dropped his cup in fear once he saw her, glass shards flew all around the room and some even flew threw her body. He can see me?! She thought surprised. She recollected stories, no, facts, that humans couldn't see ghosts. So why could he? "M...MOUSE!!!!!" He yelled. The boy ran after the broom next to the front door and chased the mouse on the table behind her with it. Natalie didn't know how to react and just sighed.

Xavier had just got back from a bowling party with his friends since his junior school year just ended yesterday. No longer strained, he could finally rest in peace one he got home. He walked around the corner and then past his old neighbors house until he arrived at his green two-story house. One of his stupid younger brothers was running around with a broom trying to kill a mouse.
