GIANT Black Star Egg

I am coming back to this because we get one of these at least every two weeks...... how normal is that/how safe is it for my girl(s)?
Not really unusual for sexlinks...safe, eh, might be fine, might not....sexlinks also are more susceptible to reproductive issues...only time will tell, not anything you can do about it anyway.

Here is my biggest egg yet it came this week from one of our leghorns

Wowww! That's awesome!. If you don't mind me asking. My chickens just started laying last week and we officially got our first DOZEN today :). I am a first time Chicken Mom ;) I noticed your basket of eggs... I would love to have something like that for mine also. Is it okay to leave the eggs unrefridgerated? And if so what is the time frame for leaving them out?

You'll find about as many opinions about this as there are chicken keepers.
There are a lot of variables to consider, and no real hard numbers.
Here's just a few:
egg washing
egg storage

Sorry for such a late response! I took these this morning. I cracked the biggest one and it turned out to be a double yolk.

Hopefully they are not all double yolks because I’m sure it can’t be good for her to be laying doubles every day..........

You have such beautiful brown eggs! What type chickens do you have?

I have four Plymouth Rocks-Barred colored, I occasionally get a double yolker and at first two shelless eggs. But other than that they are a prefect egg, ranging from a cream color to a mid/dark tan with dark specks. The yolks are a beautiful mid/dark orange color, but if I let them sit too long they do get a little watery which I just fed to the dogs. or to the pigs or back to the chickens!
