I recently had a super-large egg from one of my hens. Turned out to be a double-yolk. What was yours?

Congrats! [IMG] I'll say there might be 2 LARGE yolks in that monster! I just had one just about the same size, and measured almost 1/2 cup when i measured in a mesuring cup!

If you want to preserve the shell, you can try the old trick, tiny holes on both ends of the egg, blow the contents out and make scrambled eggs with it or use it in a recipe. Then you can save your big egg forever for bragging rights.

You can also do as babalu said and decorate the eggs. Here are some I made into ornaments:

Well, take care of all "my" stuff... heh heh.
