^^ Bahaha! Dude, you made me spit my half-eaten donut at my computer screen.

Anyway, I still stand my ground on the 'Giant Gene'. There's still more to discover about chicken genetics that people aren't willing to discover because it doesn't make profitable sense...... whereas with humans you will know all the intricacies.

Enlighten us and spend your days pursuing this fruitless venture.

Are you kidding? If there was a giant gene it would be crazy profitable.
Even my cheap @$$ would spend bucks to get it in my flock.
I'd grow my leghorns waist high and ride them around.
The broiler industry alone would make you a billionaire over night.

There are many dwarfism genes in chickens, but that isnt relevent to this case because there is not a counterpart to the dwarfism gene that makes chickens giant only "normal" sized. However there would be genes that make chickens giant as in jersey giants and brahmas but they are polygenetic as almost all traits you see in your birds ARE genetic. So esecially if you want the first generation to be giant you need to use a giant hen. If you are breeding a lot of generations you should be able to make a flock of giant chickens eventually even if the first hen you use is bantam.

I'm still convinced there is a 'Giant Gene'..... and I shall be the one to discover it it!! My Shamo is growing quite well, we shall see if he's as big as his dad who stands at a monstrous 3 feet tall!!!! He's about 7 months old now, when he gets older I will be on the lookout for a hen worthy enough to breed with my Super Special Shamo! And then I shall selectively breed the best from the batch who shows potential. And then my breed shall be famous, oh yeah! Cyprus will be soo jelly of me, can't wait!! :wee
