That's still not vulture hocks no matter how much you want it to be. Most likely that's just a result of one of the leg feathering genes.

I don't think so. All my breedings with feather legged birds never resulted in that. Except for D'uccle crosses.

Yes, that also doesn't look like vulture hocks to me. Vulture hocks are long, stiff, dragging feathers that look and feel very similar to wing feathers. They're a disqualification for Cochins so I've had to familiarize myself with what to look out for with my Cochin bantams.

Remember that there are several leg feathering genes (3 or 4 beyond vulture hocks I think, I never remember the exact number off the top of my head) that all generally impact a different portion of the leg and in slightly different amounts. The feather elongation you're seeing at the hock is one of those genes, not true vulture hocks. None of the pictures you've posted so far are true vulture hocks.

Those are long, & stiff. The hen's vulture hocks drag on the ground, that's why the tips are dirty.

Those are still not long enough for true vulture hocks and they're very obviously curved in those pictures, not stiff. I'm thinking I'm going to have to check out of this conversation as well because once again you only want to hear what you want it to be.

My D'uccles had vulture hocks that curved, so I don't get what the difference is with that comparison is.

They Extended, & curved abit. I have pictures, but they aren't great.

I got better pictures of my Porcelains I used to have, but my regular Mille Fleurs the pictures aren't good.
