Gingernut Ranger?

Had to go look at them.

Just a production cross from what I read - like a Black or Red Stars, Production reds and the like.

Where did you find Gingernut Rangers? I've spent hours and hours online trying to find 2 or 3 newly hatched chicks, but most chicken breeders have never even heard of them.

Gingernut Rangers are a common British laying crossbreed. A good layer, no doubt, but that cross isn't commercially available in the States that I know of. It's a Rhode Island Red crossed with a Light Sussex.

Usually Rhode Island Reds are crossed with other breeds here in the States to get a standard productive crossbred layer.

This is an old thread that you posted on. You may be able to get much quicker answers if you start a "New Topic" using the button that says "Start a New Thread" that is located a little bit under the Red Title "Gingernut Ranger?" near the top of this page. It's not particularly easy to see.
