How old is he? Are you chickens duffering from mites? (feathers dropping, looking scraggly between molts?) Wash his comb with warm water, maybe hold rag to him, and clean off genly what will come so we can get a look at whats going on here. Maybe he rubbed the top of it against something rough. They are chickens, and they do the darndest things. If you KNOW he's not fighting, and if its only 45* it can't possibly be frostbite, we must go with those ideas not allready subtracted.

Hes around.... err.... he was born Feb. 1st...soo...... uhh... 6 months? Im not good w/ months, LOL. One of the hens even squatted for him and he didnt breed (Course never seen a hen squat for him) and hes acting...dull... Hes also closing one eye (But it looks good), Ill clean his comb in a sec. He could be rubbing it but he doesnt like his comb touched, but it could just he doesnt want ME touching it, LOL.
