Given 2 chicks.....Any guesses as to what they are?

So my boyfriends father showed up at our house and gave me 2 new chicks(I have 3 RIR and 6 Barred rock). He said he doesnt remember what the guy told him they were.

Started with an "M". My guess is Marans...they have some feathering on the legs. Are they in fact Marans and does anyone know what kind/color theyll be? Im sure asking sex would be out out of the question. I'm guessing they are about 3weeks old as well. Thanks for any help.

The little hens are in deed a Splash Marans and a Blue Copper Marans. Not only has the little white one started getting more and more random blue feathers but I was able to track down the whole story as to where they came from.

Just an update...my Marans are growing very quickly! They are absolutely the most easy going sweet chickens I have. When they get startled they come running to me. Here they are today at about 6wks old:
