Giving Away Duckling

I sadly have to give away my two ducklings. An unfortunate situation has occurred and I cannot care for them as I once thought I would be able to. Luckily there’s a Wildlife and Rehabilitation center that will take them, but I’m still so heartbroken..

What will help through this process, is just knowing that they will be okay.

Do ducks adapt well to new environments? My ducklings are about to be 4 weeks old. I’m afraid they’ve gotten use to us and will know that they have been given away. Similar to a dog in a shelter.


What is y’all’s opinion? Do you all think they will adapt well?

I’m so sorry your having to do this. We know sometimes circumstances can change though, thank goodness you have a place to take them too. If they are well cared for they should settle in pretty easy. Especially if there are ducklings their age an size.

So so sorry about this! Although they will be leaving they are leaving with each other so they will be very helpful to each other as they adjust. I agree with what has been said. So sorry again.

I'm very sorry that you have to give them up. Since they have each, it will be easier to settle into a new environment. Again, I'm so sorry.
