giving chickens injections

I started treating a sick chicken today with tylan 50. I read to give the injection in some loose skin in the back of the neck. This didn't go that well and I ended up sticking this poor bird 4 times before I got it right. Are there other options when giving injections?

You can also use the left side of the breast in the muscle. and the injectable can also be given orally from what I have read but it won't act as fast.

I turn them over and give right along the breast bone.. Make sure it is just under the skin! You do not want to hit a blood vessel...
I use L.A. 200 which works quickly and usually given just once....

La 200 works good also. La200 works a little slower but last longer were as tylan 50 acts quick but lasts a shorter time, IMO.

LA-200 is Oxytetracycline injectable.

For Pneumonia in swine it is 1/2cc for ten pounds of weight. so I would say less than a drop. It is a powerfull long lasting anti-biotic.
