Just wondering how long it can take before a pullet gets the glitches out of her system. I know there may still be an occasional glitch here ot there.

My black sex link started laying 10 weeks ago. She has still been laying small eggs, especially compared to the newer layers, but about once a week she lays a huge mishappen egg that has a double yolk. Her other eggs haven't gotton much bigger like the others have.
I don't mind the small eggs, but I want to make sure she is okay. Is this normal to go on for quite a while?
The picture below shows the three eggs from today. Hers is the huge one. It has an indention in the middle, like it was pinched, and then a bulge at the top, then a point. The others came from a buff orp and another black sex link.

Most works stuff out in a month or two. I had an EE laying a flat sided egg last year for nearly 6-7 months before they suddenly became normal. On occasion a hen will continue to lay eggs with flaws or defects her whole laying life. Every hen is different.

As long as she is okay, I don't care if the eggs look funny or are small. I read that sex links are prone to reproductive issues, and I was worried she had some kind of issue. She hasn't laid any soft shell eggs since she first started laying, just the weird shaped ones. She is our favorite and the friendliest chicken of the group.

When my bsl missed a day laying, the next egg would be huge and had a seam in the middle like two eggs were glued together. I could never boil them because that seam split. She was healthy for two years till I rehomed her. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
