Gloria's not going down without a fight

Who couldn't love Gloria the yoga chicken? Warmth, TLC , food & rest can do wonders. I'll be dropping in to hear how she's doing.

So happy, I was worried about her last night, but I came out this morning into my living room (I almost was gonna put her out on our 3 season porch, but I decided it would of been way too cold for her.) And there she was, wide awake, waiting for her breakfast! She just had a few sips of water and some fried eggs mixed with diced apples (her fav) and I just replaced her water bottles so she's nice and toasty. I'm gonna give her a injection of Tylan 50 in a hour, but she is a lot better than yersterday. It will be amazing if she pulls through this, and I think she will. I'm just worried about the coming winter... I don't know if a old lady like her can be outside 24/7 with snow/rain/wind/cold.... we'll just play it by ear, and get her out of this sickness before we think that far ahead, I guess.

This was Gloria yesterday, while she was in a acoma. Luna, my dog, was very worried.

All you could hear was heavy breathing, no opening her eyes, no moving her legs or neck.... for 6 hours.

And this, is Gloria this morning! Bright eyed and ready for a scrambled egg.

I'm so happy to hear she is better ....... and I love the pictures ......... Gloria has become a part of our lives ....... we all love Gloria!

I guess you are going to have to make her some winter clothes!

Or fix her up a 'winter home' in the house.

Glad she's doing better. Tough old broad.

:) I just remembered this (I don't know why I just thought of this)..... did ya'll know Gloria is a mother? Back before she got stepped on by a horse at my friends ranch, she had chicks. From what I heard, a small batch of chicks. Only 1 survived. And that 1 baby is still alive to this day, at my friends ranch, and had her own batch of chicks. 14 of them (at all different times), to be exact. So, Gloria is a mother, a grandmother and may soon be a great grandmother! :)

This black bird is Gloria's daughter. Barred rock and something else, and below her is Gloria's grand-chicks.

Looks like an Easter Egger.

Oh Gloria, you tramp ;) haha

her daughter is adorable!!

I always give my girls canned corn as a special treat.
And I can always get them to take any meds if I mix it in the kernels.

to our Gloria.
Get well soon, baby.

I'm so glad Gloria's doing better! Will be keeping her in prayer. It's neat how much you share your animals. I can only imagine what Gloria's offspring must be like!
