Ice was in the lead, trying to make sure that no part of him could be seen in the long grass. He sniffed the air, checking for sickness in the herd. When he pinpointed one, he twitched his ear to alert the patrol about it
Soon they were amongst the herd, weaving in between them. Ice was following his nose toward the sick caribou and soon he found it. He barked once, signaling to seperate it from the herd. At his bark, the caribou startled and began to run, realizing there was a threat among them. Ice gave chase, slowly veering to the right to push the sick caribou out of the safety of the herdShark was ready, waiting for the signal to attack.
