Sapphire turned to Umber, panic in her eyes. "I-I don't know. She just fell to the ground and now..." Her voice trailed off

Sapphire jumped up. "I'll get some." She ran over to the stream and came back with a dripping piece of moss."Mitts, drink this." She said, gently dribbling it down the dog's throat

Mitts regained consciousness long enough to take a drink, then fell back asleep.

( yeah. I’ve decided her frontal cortex and brain stem got a good smashing in her fall. they went smash smash smash against her skull, so they aren’t in the best condition.)
