Falcon was sitting with his tail neatly curled over his paws, pricking his ears to pick up on the discussion, or argument rather, that seemed to be going on about how to save Sapphire. Though he didn’t want to admit it to himself, he was exhausted. The gashes on his shoulder were throbbing uncomfortably.

Osprey glared after her. She whipped around to stare at Moon. “Moon,” she snapped, “help me drag the omega to the stream.” Her voice was low with anger. She was only still trying to save Sapphire because Shark seemed to care for the dying wolf.
