(I bet they were, I loved the 2nd and even 3rd six, stopped loving it when cats started talking to spirits that weren't in starclan and stuff like that...every series whether book or tv is usually the best at first and then slowly gets worse as time goes on...)

Yup, I researched it and a paralyzed person confirmed it! Don't know how they're writing an internet article, maybe only paralyzed from the waist down. But that is the case.
