Blizzard shrugged with disbelief. "Wait, you're telling me that the settlers are capturing the pups?!" He cried

“Yes. They tried to catch Sapphire. She told me to go to a settlers den, but I took a wrong turn. I wound up here. I think Mitts and some pups are at the settler den.”

Sapphire opened her eyes as the first rays of sunlight seeped in between the metal bars of her cage. She blinked for a second, trying to remember, but when she saw Dove in a cage next to her, it all flooded back. Sapphire sighed and looked outside. They had traveled so far, there was no way they would ever see the pack again. She thought of Thunder, of Dove's siblings, of hunting, of all the wolves. She had come to the pack once, but now she was returning to where she was born.
(@birdlover2, I'm thinking maybe Dove and Sapphire will be taken to a good zoo, and the settlers will tell them that Sapphire was the wolf that escaped and Dove is her pup or something. What do you think?)

Sapphire's stomach growled. She hadn't had food for many days, and, as a result, she was growing weak. She glanced over at Dove. She knew the wolf hadn't eaten today yet, and hoped the settlers would provide food for the pup soon. The continuous movement of the Thunderbear was beginning to make Sapphire feel sick. She sighed, and curled up into a tight ball, trying to sleep.
