Patricia eyed Keith with a frown. Keith noticed and realized how he must've looked yelling and screaming, "I apologize," he said, "this is my first amputation as head vet in the room, I've done many assists, but none so stressful."
Patricia nodded, keeping her expression plain, still with a slight frown, "Then perhaps I should be in charge of this one."
Keith kept his voice professional, though with a slight edge, "I'm the one who made the amputation call, and I know what I'm doing. I simply don't wish the wolf to be awake during this."
"Neither do I," she said making her way to the wolf's front, and putting a hand on his neck, "He's asleep, probably just dreaming, let's get on with the procedure."
