Animal GMOs are Illegal for human consumption last i checked.

Check again.......I think they passed the Frankin Salmon, if you consider a fish, a animal. Or are you just talking about the USA?

Japan has a pig crossed with spinach and then there is the Frankin pig from Guelph. I think they call it the Enviropig.

Proof of toxicity is hard to decide on the basis of these conditions

. This was the final conclusion--that and they should be given more money to further study it. Who would have thought, more $$$$.

Again, I have NO problem banning GMO's, just be ready to pay for it. Realize yields will be dramatically reduced and prices will go UP.

Me I like to look globally and at averages and trends, even thought that really does not mean anything either...

Well seedcorn, So when were you in France that unemployment was so high? Late 80's early 90's? Things were tough in Europe then, especially after the collapse of the Soviet union and the wall came down and Western Europe had to integrate all the east block countries..
Think about it would be the same as if all the sudden we in the US were told Mexico is part of our country and we must employ everyone.. Same scenario.. yes?

I am not so sure I would be so confident in proclaiming GMO's are "safe"..... That is a quite bold statement. If their was no doubt this thread would not exist, neither would nearly 1/2 the population of America, and most other nations other than US, Canada and Australia question its safety when it comes to consumption, the and the potential environmental long term impacts...
So many are wrong and you are for sure right?

Redhen,
Popcorn can be very dangerous! If you bite a seed you can break a tooth! It cost lots of money to buy a crown if you do not have insurance..

Seriously though, to my knowledge popcorn and sweet corn are GMO free... I also know for a fact their are no GMO lettuces to date..

U put butter on your popcorn? Now the butter, salt, and cardboard container may be a problem? Is the cardboard recycled? I'm sorry, I typed what may be wrong and cause someone to eat popcorn that has unsafe items on or around them. Hope I can't be sued for health endangerment........

Might want to check w/food police. If you get don't eat it, have cravings, might want to start support group. Join a self help group, start a movement, get rich. Also get a lawyer, sue the grocery stores, dairies, feed companies for making a product that is addictive. Dang farmers are nothing but drug dealers.
