My boys have been having a hard time with gnats again this year. I have a fan set up for them outside their pen and they lay in front of it a lot. I still felt bad though because anytime they moved away the gnats came after them. I did some checking and decided to try a mixture of vanilla extract and water (1 Tbsp. vanilla - 1 cup water). I sprayed them yesterday and they are doing great. I don't know how often I will have to reapply, but it seems like a nice safe way to keep the pests away. Just though I'd share!
