Go away Starlings!

As much as I love animals of all kinds, these darned starlings need to stay out of the chicken food, water etc... Any ideas? I don't need to kill them, just chase them off.

No idea, starlings are very annoying though. They are an invasive species from Europe and are always causing trouble. If you do not find a solution you should know that it is legal to kill them because they are not native to the states.

Keep your feed in a covered run....if that’s possible.

I've had problems with nuisance birds in the past. Good old 4th of July bottle rockets work for scaring them off.

It is amazing how well they work

I only have feed in the coop and covered run and it helps. My problem wild bird visitors are little house wrens (also not native!) and sometimes sparrows. They also bring in mites, very unpleasant.
I'd like to have a great solution, and don't. My last barn cat helped, but he's since died, and there's not been a replacement yet.

I have a barn infested with them. Air rifles, or any type of small utility rifle, are an option if you got good aim lol

I usually don't do anything to them...after all, they don't eat that much feed

I wish the chickens would chase these interlopers out, and they don't either.

I thought my muscovies would chase away the birds that came into the run, they don't. The muscovies just like to antagonize the chickens.
