Goanna bite

Hi I've joined this group hoping to get information. One of my hens was bitten on her thigh 8 days ago by a goanna. Part of her leg under the skin is green but not smelly. She is eating and her droppings are normal.

Um,, did u put anti biotics on it( meds)

Sprayed 3 times a day with iodine spray and bathed in saline solution

Did u contact your local poaltry vet. Sorry I can't spell. Lol

He suggested the saline solution. Was also told it could be bruising.

Well. Did ur vet see the bird. She might just need time?

No he didn't see her. It was a phone consultation as we live quite far away.

O.well if it starts smelling or oozing. Like it is roting or molding kind of smell or look take her in. If it comes down to it witch I hope it don't u may have to put her out. Can u post a pic or it?

I've only just bathed her again so don't want to stress her but will take one later.
