Can anyone point me to a site that has easy to understand information about goat color/pattern genetics?
I bred my 2 dairy gals to a moonspotted nubian buck and am hoping to get a spotted baby.
One of my gals is an alpine. Black with tan points. The other a Lamancha chocolate brown with light tan points.
The nubian buck is chocolate with tan moonspots.
Thanks for any help.

Moon spots are dominate, w/ one parent spotted you will have a 50% chance for each kid to be spotted!

Woooo Hooooo! I love the spots! Thanks.

No problem! I hope you get lots of spots, and post pics when they get here!

Thanks, again. I will post pics! I was doing some reading on colors/patterns last night and got over my head in understanding pretty quick.
The spots were my main interest as far as color goes.
The buck is a registered nubian that has done well at shows. He has very nice conformation and a super personality. I was lucky that he lives nearby.
