Goat fence post

I'm I sunny Arizona, smack dab in HOT. I think I'm going to go with the horse panels with two t-posts in the middle (and t-posts at each end, of course). I'll be putting it all together in a few weeks. Still waiting for our little guy to be born.

So, if anybody is curious. I went with 16' Feed Lot Utility panels. They're 5' high and have 4"x4" grid squares. They're rather expensive but nobody near me had any feed lot panels that were both cheaper and had small enough squares. TSC had some in their catalog but none of the stores in my area carry the.

I used 6' T-posts sunk 2' into the ground and spaced 4' apart. I used 6 x t-post clips on the each of the middle 3 posts and wrapped wire around the corner posts, also 6 per post. For entry, right now, I'm just winging it. One of the corner panels wasn't wrapped with wire but with chain and locks. The panels are on the inside of the pen so that when the goats rub up against the fencing, they're pushing the panels into the posts.

For the past week now, it's held firm with my 4 yo billy and 1 yo whether. But there's no mistaking they know where the entry point is. The billy lips the chain any time I'm out there.

That sounds like a great setup! Nice choice of fence panels. Those goats man, they will open those doors if they figure out how hahah! Goats are kinda incurable that way.
