Goat, goats, goats!

I am so excited. My husband and I have been talking about getting boer goats for about 2 years now. Today we got our post hole digger. We are going to get them probably by fall.

Oh my gosh, it would drive me nuts if I had to wait until Fall. Your going to love having them.

I know it will be hard to wait, but you are doing the right thing. Get the fence in and make it a good one.

I've had great success with 53" welded wire fence with a board on top. I had this for my horses but it is great for my goats too. The fence goes right to the ground and is tall enough that they don't jump it. So far they haven't climbed on it either!

That's wonderful news! I'm sorry you have to wait so long, but you are doing the right thing by getting everything in order for their arrival. I love my goats and often wonder what I did without them. I tell people all of the time that goats are the best pets I have ever had.

We had our fence up for THREE YEARS!!!!!!!! before purchasing out first goat. But, our first goat also came with 10 other goats! LOL
