Feel free to post many pictures of your goats on this thread, and talk about them (even if you don't have any yet)!
We currently have a herd of 12 dairy goats. Over the next few days I am hoping to post pictures of every single one of them, including their names and breeds and ages. We have 9 does and 3 bucklings, and breeding season is almost here! I can't wait!
A little backstory:
We first got goats in the fall of 2014. We got two Myotonic does so that our new Anatolian Shepherd, who would guard the chickens, would have some larger buddies.
I fell in love with the goats and begged my Mom to let me get a dairy goat (Myotonics are a meat breed). She let me
woot) and after some research I decided to get a Mini-Lamancha. We got one from out of state in April of '15, and a few months later bought a buckling of the same breed so that in the fall we could breed all 3 does to him.
Somehow along the way we got a pregnant Alpine doe, and in the spring of 2016 we had 4 does kid, each with twins.
We have since sold most of the original herd, wanting to only have dairy goats was one reason, so we sold the Myotonics, and we sold the Mini-Lamancha and Alpine doe because we had decided to keep a daughter from each of them.
Anyway, now I will show you pictures of some of the herd we have now.
Vivian, 3 year old Nubian doe (her cheeks are big because she's chewing her cud).
Verity, a Lamancha doe who turned a year old in April. She is my favorite goat I think.

Hildy, she was a bottle doeling we got in mid March (of this year) as a 4 day old. She is a Mini-Nubian.
Benji (this picture is a few months old taken right after we gave him his afternoon bottle so he has a milk mustache), a Mini-Lamancha who is just two weeks younger than Hildy. He is one of our future herd sires.
Schroeder, also one of our future herd sires! He is a Nubian.
And last but not least, Midge! She was the doeling out of our first Mini-Lamancha, Kendall. She is also purebred Mini-Mancha.
