Goat Thieves in NJ/PA!

How horrible! I hope you get your goat back safe and sound and she gets what she deserves!

Why don't you try telling all these people the truth? I know the family that has your goat and they are good people. The only reason that you even know the whereabouts of your goat is because when they heard about all of this they contacted the police themselves. The day that they got lost coming to your house, they knocked on several doors asking for directions. At least 3 different people invited them into their homes to use their phones. They kept trying to call home to get your phone number because they left it there. So therefore there were 3 different people that lived in your neighborhood, that knew the story and their phone number to contact them. Why would they drive all the way to NJ to steal a goat? Why would they give you their real names? Why should they feel bad and bring him back to you? When you add what they paid for him and the cost of driving to NJ and back twice, they lost far more money than you did. I don't know why you are acting like a tough ass and telling all these lies, but they were never warned about charges if anything happened to the goat. In fact, several different officers thanked them for being polite and cooperative. They were planning on getting rid of him and getting a different one this weekend, but they kept him a couple of more days to give you the opportunity to get him back. I hope they get rid of him first thing tomorrow morning. In fact, I will call them and let them know that I think they should. Maybe you would have him right now if you didn't act like a tough ass posting lies about people that you don't even know.

First off none of what I posted are lies. I had to have the police contact her because she told me she does not have long distance. She did not contact them first. There are being charges filed against her and all of our proof is in the emails. Regardless of what they've told others the goat was reported stolen to her sunday night and I did not hear a word from her until wednesday when I posted a goat stolen notice on my website. She knows she is in possession of stolen property and if the goat is disposed of would face additional charges. The goat certainly did not get 3 hours away on his own, and it just happens to be THE exact goat she was coming to look at. And knew what time I would be leaving my property. If she had let me know she had the goat that Sunday night when I emailed her she wouldn't be in this mess. And to threaten to dump him at the SPCA was the last straw. Sorry but 'good people' just don't do that. Otherwise we would have been just happy to have friends who live 10 minutes from her pick up the goat and all would have been dropped. I do not plan to drop it now. I have been an honest goat raiser and seller for 10 years and take my livestock very seriously.
This will only be handled through the police. This thread was only a warning to those out there that deal strictly through email not to do what I have and not get full information and talk to the person over the phone first. Not something I will ever do again. A judge will decide the outcome. I just don't appreciate being taken advantage of. And I definitely don't appreciate being called a liar by someone who is not even involved. I involved the police from the getgo, they were out here Sunday night 15 minutes after he was noticed missing and the reports back me. Keeping the goat until a suitable place to drop him isn't doing ME a favor, it's doing herself a favor by having less charges. At this point it just is no longer about the goat.
