I am not begrudging anyone money that comes to them in such a way either, however....
I work with the developmentally disabled and I feel for the employee. If accidents like that happen often, and they DO happen, developmentally disabled employee or not, it may discourage that grocery store from hiring more developmentally disabled people in the future. My eight "kids" as we call them at the group home absolutely LOVE to work at whatever jobs we can find for them and rarely do they buy for themselves with the money they earn. That's why my bedroom, like alot of my co-workers bedrooms, are full of stuffed animals. My kids think that's the very best way of showing us how much they love us back.
