Ok, my chickens were all just fine until last night I noticed my two La Fleche pullets weren't coming out to say hello. 1 was in the coop acting weak and the other laying in the corner. Everyone else is fine, it is just these two so far.
I think he said these girls were born in April, so they are not very old. I've had them for weeks now, no problems at all.
Eating chick starter/grower, medicated
Water is from the house, house gets it from the well, no city water
pine shavings for floor (just replaced recently)
they have a run, but there is nothing in it that could be a problem that I know of.
the roo that I have is fine and dandy, as are my other birds.
symptoms.... one refuses to get up and is now breathing through her mouth. Alert for the most part, not eating.
the other, can't walk right, panics and flaps around from time to time, alert, dk. green poop, attempting to still eat, though not well.
no other symptoms.
The only thing I can think of is that they have eaten something they shouldn't have.... they are much greedier than my other birds. Though I do not yet know what it could have been. I have some scratch I give them as a treat..... will throw out in case it is contaminated. All of the food is new and fresh as of 2 days ago.... should I replace it? All the others are fine.
Will clean coop and replace bedding, etc. Maybe I have overlooked something?????
Going to get meds for them.... what should I buy? Going to TSC.
